This website aims to tell the story of the Gezi protests through visual sources. Images played a big role in the protests, be it through photos that motivated people to take to the streets, graffiti that allowed them to communicate with each other, or cartoons which shared political messages satirically.
This project was created by Oğuz Can Ayverdi for a course taught by Prof. Mills Kelly at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz.
